I am delighted to provide this reference for Night Nannies, who provided a night nanny for my family following my son Hector’s discharge from NICU after arriving six weeks prematurely. From the very first night, she proved to be exceptional. She brought a wonderfully calm, gentle, and nurturing presence to our home during what was an anxious and challenging time. Her warmth extended to both Hector and myself, which made an enormous difference as we adjusted to life at home after the NICU experience. Her skills and knowledge were invaluable. She provided expert support with breastfeeding during the critical establishment phase, offering practical guidance on combination feeding, and demonstrating complete confidence in caring for Hector while he still had a feeding tube. Her clinical competence, combined with her gentle approach, gave us tremendous peace of mind. Most importantly, Hector settled beautifully with her. It was immediately evident that she has a natural gift with babies and the experience to handle even more complex care needs with assurance and skill. I wholeheartedly and without reservation recommend Night Nannies. They provided not just professional expertise but genuine care and support when we needed it most.

Lauren came to stay with us a week… Lauren came to stay with us a week after our first baby was born and made such a difference in helping us settle in and understand how to look after our little one. Lauren is not only a safe pair of hands who we can trust with our baby all night, she is an expert in all things baby-related so is a fountain of knowledge and taught us invaluable lessons for the first two months that will stand to us for many more to come. Lauren was accommodating for when I wanted to breastfeed all night or when I needed a break for some extra sleep. She was also able to stretch our baby’s sleep for longer periods which helped a lot when she wasn’t with us. Lauren was generous with sharing her wisdom but never imposing or condescending. I would highly recommend Lauren to any new parents.

I highly recommend the services of Night Nannies. Out of desperation one Friday night, I contacted 4 night nanny agencies via their websites. Night Nannies was the only one to respond by Saturday morning (only one more responded by Monday morning, and one responded a whole week later). Night Nannies gave us 2 CVs of highly experienced nannies to review. We interviewed and selected one, who turned out to be excellent. Not only was she skilled at caring for infants, she was warm and kind, and we felt that she genuinely cared about and took delight in our baby. By putting our trust in her and Night Nannies, we were rewarded with excellent care for the baby and several nights of badly-needed sleep for the parents.

Amazing night nanny Our night nanny was absolutely incredible. We quite possibly could not have got though those first few months without her. She is the most calm, kind and reassuring presence to have around. We trusted her implicitly and out daughter adored her from the first day they met. She would come in at 9pm like an oasis of calm and it meant I could relax and get some sleep for those blissful hours we had her. Those early weeks of motherhood are so hard but she made them feel so much easier to have her supporting us though them. They are also full of so much unsolicited advice which she never ever did. She would be a fountain of amazing knowledge and experience if you asked her but would also empower and reassure you to make decisions and suggest how you might want to do things. We couldn’t recommend her more highly. I only wish she never had to leave!

Excellent Madinah was excellent - the purpose originally was for me to catch up on some sleep whilst my husband was away but it ended up being so much more valuable than that. Madinah was great with Isabelle from the beginning and I instantly felt relaxed leaving her with Madinah. However, she was also so patient with me and taught me so much in such a short space of time. As a first time mother I now feel so much more confident and in control as a mum and understand my baby and what she’s trying to communicate so much more. After a tough couple of weeks adjusting to life with a newborn we only wish we’d met her sooner as she really has made such a difference in only a few days. We’re so grateful to her!

It’s daunting inviting someone into your home, let alone allowing them to look after your newborn baby, but our night nanny was clearly very capable and was able to set our minds at ease within minutes of arriving.
