Through Night Nannies we found an incredible maternity night nurse who supported our family a few nights a week for 5 months after the birth of our baby. From the very first night, she brought such a calming, reassuring presence into our home, and I canโt imagine those early months without her. She was incredibly gentle, kind, and compassionate with both my baby but also to us as parents. She had a natural ease and warmth that instantly made us feel comfortable and confident in her care. She was always prompt, reliable, and consistently professional, arriving each night with a smile and a positive, helpful attitude. She worked efficiently and quietly, keeping everything tidy and organised, and ensured our babyโs needs were fully met while allowing us to rest. She also supported us in establishing a gentle day and evening routine, helping guide our little one to start stretching a bit further at night in a way that felt natural and responsive. Her experience and thoughtful guidance made a huge difference in building confidence and setting a rhythm that worked for us. We also went through a difficult period with feeding, as our baby was diagnosed with reflux and a tongue tie. She was an incredible support during that time - helping us troubleshoot feeds, suggesting practical ways to make things more comfortable for the baby, and reassuring us through what was an emotional and tiring phase. We've been super impressed with Night Nannies - our first child arrived 5 weeks early and they managed to fill the gap with some extraordinarily talented maternity nurses who have been so helpful. In addition they've used their fantastic network to find us a night nurse for a week away in Oxfordshire which was very impressive. Couldn't recommend highly enough Our baby arrived 5 weeks premature, night nannies were absolutely fabulous at finding us the kindest most competent maternity nurses to suit our specific needs within 48 hours. The nurses we've had have been beyond brilliant and cared for our son as if he was their own whilst teaching us so much on the job. Every night, she arrived at 9pm like a beam of sunshine. Not only was she incredibly competent at taking care of our baby, but she also could take an incredibly stressful day and turn it around within 5 minutes. Every evening, we would talk through the day and discuss ways we could make the next day easier. She taught us an incredible amount about how to take care of our son, and I strongly believe that having her there was the difference between barely functioning and actively enjoying those incredibly challenging first weeks. We felt completely confident leaving our baby in her hands, and came to look forward to our evening chats with her. She felt like family from the moment she walked in the door. Fantastic Experience Using nightnannies.com has been a great experience from beginning to end. The team are helpful, quick to respond and knowledgeable. Our night nanny started in January 2024 and our initial two month placement turned into six months. Our son was 3 months old when she started. She has patiently listened to all my concerns and gently sleep trained our son so he is now sleeping solidly for 11 hours and then happy to play in his cot until we are ready to get him up. Our nanny was a fountain of knowledge and has helped us with teething, feeding, bedtime routine, weaning and many other concerns I've raised! There is nothing she doesn't know or hasn't experienced before. She is a positive, happy, calm, tidy lady to have in our home and both our children love her dearly. I can not recommend night Nannies (and particularly the nanny that helped me) highly enough. She helped me for 3 months with my newborn. She is very knowledgable and provided invaluable advice on many topics ranging from breastfeeding to how to help the baby when he has a cold. I also liked that I didnโt feel she was โclock watchingโ and would always make sure the baby was ok and fed before leaving in the mornings. I donโt know what we would have done without her. The night nannies nanny came to help me when my daughter was born. She was incredibly helpful, and made my first days and weeks of being a mother thoroughly enjoyable, she helped me so much. She has a very pleasant personality, a good sense of humour, lots of empathy.. she loved the baby and was very caring of me as a mother too. She took initiative at times in an intelligent way, and after making sure I wanted her to, and she would explain things to me, and if, at times, I had an idea that was novel to her, she would inform herself, if necessary read up about it, and listen and give intelligent opinions. I enjoyed our conversations about babies, different routines, breastfeeding etcโฆ She was very helpful throughout breastfeeding, and she was also, when, at times, I needed the baby to be given a bottle. She is a very organised person, and that was wonderful, because at the best of times I am not, and just after my first baby I felt at times a little lost. She tailor made a routine that worked wonderfully! She has great social skills and was liked by everyone in the family, including the dog. The memories of when my daughter was a tiny baby are beautiful and it is a lot thanks to the nanny. She was patient, caring, intelligent, organised, entertaining, and dynamic.
