Night Nannies found us 2 great maternity nurses at different times when we’d had a really tricky time with our newborn son. They were both lovely to have in our home, helped with everything they could, but most importantly were amazing with our son. I felt completely comfortable and safe leaving him with both of them. They made sure he went out for walks and chatted and sang to him. It was really touching to see their relationship. Night Nannies was so helpful to us at a really difficult time, and I’ll always be grateful to both our maternity nurses.

Vera was amazing! She spent a night with us as a night nanny to help settle our three week old son, She did a fantastic job calming him down and getting him to sleep, and she also did a great job calming my anxiety and giving me some great advice, which was greatly needed and appreciated. When the night nanny came to our family we were in a desperate state. I was half crazed with sleep deprivation and my 6 month old was stuck in an overtired cycle of short naps and disrupted nights that we couldn’t get out of. I can’t believe that was just one week ago. Last night he slept 12 hours for the first time in his life, with just one feed. He’ll likely drop that soon as we further establish solids. And he now consistently gets proper naps as he has learned to connect sleep cycles. Gone are the hours of feeding and bouncing him to sleep. I now put him in his crib awake and he happily drifts off. The change is near miraculous.Our nanny was so knowledgeable and reassuring and lovely with the baby and with all of us. I needed a lot of support and hand holding and she helped me to keep the consistency that my baby needed. I wasn’t really sure about the process and I needed her professionalism and conviction to help me through it. I am gaining confidence but grateful to have her on text for reassurance and troubleshooting for two weeks. She wants to make sure he has really settled into his new routine before she leaves us.It is no exaggeration to say that she has restored happiness to this household. I fear I would have missed enjoying precious months of my baby’s development because I was so desperately exhausted and anxious. I already feel lighter and so excited again to be a mother. Thank you so so so much.

The sleep trainer we found through Night Nannies was so wonderful with my 10 month old son. He wasn’t settling well for his naps and at bedtime (he would always cry and protest), he used to wake up a few times a night and too early in the morning. He was always very tired during the day and I didn’t know how to help him with his sleep. I had worked with a sleep trainer before but could not improve his sleep and sleeping habits. The sleep trainer knows what she’s doing. She’s calm, very professional, loving, and knows so much about babies and their sleep. She came in for five nights and managed to teach him how to fall asleep peacefully and to stay asleep for a full night. For two weeks after the training she continued to help us over messages, guiding us and giving us strength and advice when we needed. She’s truly wonderful, we are so grateful to have worked with her. I would highly and happily recommend her.

Our nanny worked for us for four and half months, six days a week. She started when we bought our son Oscar hone from hospital at four days old until he was four and a half months old. Her tasks were feeding, changing, re settling and assisting with breastfeeding.Our nanny very quickly got Oscar sleeping very well. While my husband and I struggled to get him to sleep at first, as soon as she arrived at our home he was asleep within minutes using her expertise and sleep techniques. She taught us her techniques and gently led Oscar into a routine and soon we were able to get him to sleep ourselves. Oscar was able to self settle early on owing to her sleep training methods which meant my husband and I were able to have nights to ourselves as he slept soundly from 7pm.On her nights off when we looked after Oscar we found him very easy to settle in the middle of the night, waking up for feeds and then settling immediately again meaning our sleep had very little disturbance.Our nanny assisted with breastfeeding and night feeding both bringing Oscar to me for a breast feed and preparing bottles of expressed milk to give him through the night. She offered lots of assistance and advice with breastfeeding, particularly aiding when I had blocked milk ducts (making hot water bottles etc) and messaging me during the day to see if Oscar and I were ok. She also showed us how to use all the feeding equipment such as the breast pump and steriliser and washed and sterilised equipment for us.Before she started with us she sent lists of her recommended baby products and throughout her time with us always recommended what to buy and gave helpful advice on feeding, sleeping and washing items that we might need. When Oscar had vaccinations, conjunctivitis and cradle cap she offered advice on how to administer treatments and helped us in doing so. She also showed us how to bathe him the first time.As well as these duties, she frequently sent us text messages to ask how Oscar was especially if he’d been having issues (eg for a few weeks he hadn’t put on enough weight) and we very much appreciated her out-of-hours care. She was also flexible in staying late in the morning to help us feed and change Oscar when we were going away on holiday.Our nanny has a kind and calm attitude. We very much trusted her and had no worries about leaving him for the first time in her care while we went to the cinema.Oscar is a very happy and settled baby and it’s partly owing to his sleep routine.

Our night nanny has helped us with both of our babies, she is wonderful. She is polite, punctual and extremely professional. She has a very discreet, gentle and unobtrusive manner which we appreciate enormously. She doesn't come in and start bossing everyone around, but gets on with her job and gives excellent advice when asked, making suggestions when necessary. Her love for babies is palpable, I trusted her immediately. She settled both babies into a very predictable sleeping routine at night and left us with them sleeping long stretches, easy to settle back to sleep after waking up to feed once, and happy during the day. We learned so much from her and envy anyone who has the chance to welcome our night nanny into their home.

Given our daughter was born premature, we were looking for a night maternity nurse knowing how critical yet difficult the feeding was likely to be. After interviewing a few candidates we decided to go with one of your nannies. It can be difficult to make a decision on the basis of a relatively short meeting, but thankfully we made the right choice – she has been amazing.Our nanny initially spent a week with us as a day nurse the very first week we were back from hospital. She truly was a life-saver since we had no idea how challenging it would be with a premature baby, when we were effectively having to re-learn the basics of feeding, changing, etc. from scratch. She went on a mission to ensure that she was feeding well and putting on weight as desired. I’ve never seen anyone get quite so excited when our daughter met her target weight during her check-up with the health visitor! She also provided a lot of reassurance and stability to our home – much needed in those early days.A few weeks later our nanny returned to help us with the nights. Thankfully she was already familiar with our daughter and was able to completely put us at ease, ensuring that we were able to get a few hours of much needed sleep! Perhaps most importantly, she developed an immediate and special bond with our daughter. In addition she is a pleasure to be around and we had a lot of laughs. She was also able to provide some useful tips/advice for our 20 month old, who can be quite a handful at times!In sum she is a great maternity nurse and we have no reservation in recommending her – any family would be fortunate to be able to secure her for a position.
