  • Agency review We have used the Night Nannies agency twice following the birth of our second and third sons. Both times they’ve supplied us with great night nannies, including extra cover when inevitably we decided we wanted support for longer than we had originally planned! One lady in particular helped us tremendously with our middle son - pointing us in the right direction to have him diagnose with a milk intolerance. Without her I can’t see that we would have got the medical help that eventually transformed him into a much happier baby! She returned to us with our third son when he was ten weeks old, feeding a couple of times a night with sleep stretches seeming to becoming shorter rather than longer. She immediately had us working towards 1 feed a night - giving us the confidence and techniques to wind him properly and to settle him without feeding. Totally transformative! With the right night nanny it’s possible to get not just some overnight rest but also sleep consultant type services thrown in.

  • Night Nannies, we just wanted to thank you for introducing us to the Nannies that helped with Lily over the last 3 months. It was such a relief to know we could call you when we were struggling with the seemingly endless hours of the morning, and to have an experienced new born nanny arrive to help out was a blessing. All the night nannies were so gentle with Lily and so helpful to us, their tips and advice on feeding and settling helped us to feel more confident. To wake in the morning feeling rested helped enormously and we are so grateful. We would not hesitate to recommend you to other mothers and friends, we just regret we did not find you earlier. A massive thank you Night Nannies. Jules and Richard

  • Our Nannie came to us at short notice as we needed some support. She was very adept in knowing exactly the amount of help that we needed, and when. To start it was just about making sure we were able to get sleep, and then she was so helpful reassuring us about our routine and feeding and pointing us in the right direction when we needed that, but she was never pushy, just supportive which was just what we needed. Our son was very relaxed with her, she was so good with him right from the beginning which was a huge comfort to us. We could not recommend her more

  • I am writing re Margaret Markara, and to let you know what a wonderful lady she is. Not only did she manage to get my 7 month old sleeping through the night, which saved me from insanity :))) she also gave me lots of invaluable tips about how to take care of my child. She was kind, non intrusive, and calm with a lovely manner. i cannot recommend her enough. It was so much more than I was hoping for, and I will not forget her. My baby now sleeps through, and I am feeling human again!!!! Alex

  • I contacted Night Nannies recently when… I contacted Night Nannies recently when my daughter needed overnight help at short notice. My son in law was away unexpected, and she was trying to cope with two badly sleeping children on her own. I spoke to Sally, the local area administrator, at once (so much easier than filling in a form and waiting for some-one to call you back) who was understanding, sympathetic and extremely helpful. I had the references of an excellent sounding Nanny within an hour, and the nanny (whom my daughter said was lovely) started work three days later. The whole business was amazingly easy, and an outstanding success.

I would use them again without hesitation.

  • Wow, I can not begin to express how thankful and grateful I am to our Maternity Nurse and the amazing start she gave our family. She met us at home when we were released from hospital, and as a first time mum I was understandably nervous and very tired - our maternity nurse immediately put me at ease and from that moment on created a peaceful, calm and safe space. I originally booked her for 2 weeks but by day 5 I had decided to extend to 4 weeks. Throughout the stay I had many comments from friends and family about how peaceful my son was and how they couldn’t believe that we were newborn parents as we all looked so relaxed. Every aspect of the stay was perfect - from learning how to become a ‘mum’, getting help with understanding babies cues, having someone to ask ALL the questions to and not having to rely on DR Google, keeping your sanity due to being able to get sleep, and just feeling like you have a really good friend in your home. Not only was she great with my son , she was amazing with me too - and I will look back very fondly of our nightly chats over dinner for years to come. It really was the most special four weeks. Our maternity nurse has been gone a week now - and I am so thankful for everything she did for us. Our son ( fingers crossed) is a great sleeper , a great feeder , he’s relaxed, happy and very content. I’ve recommended my maternity nurse to everyone I know and shouted about her from every rooftop . If I am lucky enough to have another baby, she will be my first phone call. Thank you for everything ❤️

  • Kathryn came to us at a time when I had reached rock bottom with my health. I went to a doctor concerned I was having a stroke. I could barely function and felt awful. I learned that I was experiencing extreme sleep deprivation. My daughter was 13 months old, waking every 45 minutes overnight, constantly feeding and demanding attention. Sometimes she remained awake for two hour stretches. My husband and I were simply exhausted.A business associate suggested hiring a sleep trainer. We asked the agency to put forward their best sleep trainer and they promptly put us in touch with Kathryn.Upon Kathryn flying out to us in France, I was sure that Suzie was special and could not be sleep trained. We had tried everything including various approaches, techniques and tricks we picked up in books on sleep training, online sleep training specialists, white noise, cry it out. Nothing worked.Kathryn calmly and confidently assured us that her approach would help Suzy, all of us in fact. I was worried that my sleep pattern was so broken I would not be able to restore it. Kathryn gave me detailed, tailored and easy to follow advice. By the third night I was able to sleep properly again. And my daughter, within five nights Kathryn not only had her sleeping through the night but took away her sleep props including the sound machine. It gets very noisy outside of her room at 5-6 in the morning.I still cannot believe that she sleeps without her sound machine.Kathryn has taught her to reach and sustain deep sleep. We no longer need to creep around or whisper. We were walking on eggshells in our own home, terrified of waking her.At bedtime Suzie asks to be put to bed while we are putting on her pajamas, and she self settles too. It’s amazing.Everything has changed for the better. Kathryn weaned her off breastfeeding, she eats properly and well. She was not eating, she was underweight - we had sought out medical advice. Now she is the correct weight for her age and stage of development. Our daughter took to Kathryn immediately and Suzie is not the easiest customer! She is thriving: sleeping through the night, eating well three times a day and her development has skyrocketed. She is happy, calm and altogether a different child. We were so impressed that we hired Kathryn to accompany us overseas. We were concerned about maintaining the sleep training whilst away and wanted our daughter to nap during the day. She naps at nursery but we could not get her to nap at home. Kathryn managed to get her to sleep during the day. We have now hired Kathryn for our next London trip and an overseas trip at Christmas.I cannot thank or recommend Kathryn highly enough. She has transformed our lives. Highly professional and skilled, Kathryn is a font of information and a joy to be around. I only wish that we’d found her sooner.
