Some Nanny Profiles

At Night Nannies we have built a highly experienced team of over 300 loyal nannies with exceptional references that are checked after every job is completed. Many of our nannies have been with us since our launch in 1999.

All our Night Nannies need to have excellent childcare-related qualifications or extensive newborn experience. These include NNEB, NVQ level 3, BTec, midwifery, paediatric and neonatal qualifications. They will also have undertaken a paediatric first aid course and will possess an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau certificate.

The agency interviews the Nannies personally, they will be tested on their childcare knowledge. The agency will then talk to previous employers and referees – all professional qualifications are checked. However, the Agency strongly advises parents to make their own enquiries and checks to satisfy themselves as to the suitability and experience of the Nanny.

The agency invests significantly in the ongoing professional development of the team. Nannies are offered free workshops in breastfeeding, first aid, post natal depression (in partnership with the Anna Freud centre), reflux and colic and nutrition.

Additionally, Night Nannies are encouraged to attend the Sleep Training course offered by MNT Training, an accredited course held at Reading University and taught by Georgie Bateman of Hampshire Night Nannies, Luci Wiggs from the Department of Sleep Research at Oxford Brookes University and Emily Rittner-McKinlay of MNT Training.

Lubina

Lubina has been with us since 1999. She works as both a Super Nanny and Sleep Trainer for older babies and she works as a Maternity Nurse. Lubina has attended all our courses on First Aid, Post Natal Depression, Breastfeeding and Reflux. She has such a phenomenal track record.

Her clients have nothing but praise for her:

Lubina worked for a few days with her 6 month old who had sleep problems. The mother said: “Lubina has been fantastic. She is lovely to have around. I found that she was very supportive to me and understanding. She really really cares. She was absolutely perfect. It was a shame that she couldn’t live with us full time!”

A mother with newborn twins said: “I just wanted to say that we thought Lubina was absolutely amazing. She was wonderfully calming with the boys and helped us get into a routine that kept the boys happy and relaxed and sleeping through the night very quickly.”

Another mother with a newborn who was not settling at night said: “Lubina is absolutely amazing. She understands that every baby is different and she is so professional and brilliant and I can’t recommend her highly enough. She is so skilled and accommodating and any mother who has a chance to have her is very lucky!”
